Wild West Characters
Volume 01!

Hello Cowboys, Pioneers, Outlaws and, Totem Bearers. Welcome to the 1st edition of Wild West Characters. In every edition, I will go over who the character is, one of their adventures(or doings) and a small reveiw on them as well. These characters are a wide range from the history of the Wild West and I can't wait for y'all to learn just as much as I did about these rootin' tootin' characters.

Today's review is on Billy the Kid so sit back, get comfy, and ready to read a bit about him! Enjoy!

.

Billy the kid, where to start on him, huh? Well, for starters this Outlaw came from all the way across the country in the busy, area of New York City, eventually moving out west to New Mexico. After his mother died when he was only at the age of 15, he became orphaned and headed to Arizona. He worked on a few different ranches throughout his short lifeline, earning wage by working there and going to gaming houses to gamble for even more money as time went on.

His first crime was at the prime age of 15, where he had got caught stealing food, a few days over a week later, clothing from a laundry place with a street tough known as George Schaefer. He had also managed to steal two pistols. He got arrested for this crime, and several others, always or just barely managing to escape. One time he even escaped before the law enforcement could come by. That's quite a man, eh? Escaping jail is quite a risk to be taking 'specially in the west, you never know who you will run into around here.

Billy's crimes did not stop at that though, he had continued to steal things, he often gambled to get money, and he claimed he killed twenty one men, however, most likely only killed eight or nine in his lifetime. A few by himself and a few with the lucky help of others. I'd like to just say that Billy shooting people didn't age well as his death was due to being shot at the young age of 21 in 1877 by a sheriff.

Now onto one of his adventures. I wouldn't say this is the lighest of adventures, nor really an adventure but more of his start to his shooting's. His first kill was in Arizona where he got into a heated argument with a man and shot him. The man killed was a blacksmith who jumped Billy, pinning him to the floor, out of fear, Billy shot him.

If there's anything I learned from Billy, it's that I might as well be as cautious as possible with other Outlaws and gunfighters here in the Wild West. All in all still a great character out there who's got significance in the Wild West. I'd say hes a solid 8/10 character that we know of, it'd be quite nice to hear about more detail about some of his adventures and doings.!

That concludes todays little learning about the famous outlaw and gunfighter, Billy the Kid! Stay tuned for the next volume where another wild west character will be talked about!
