Another important Wild West Treasure Hunt is the Lost Dutchman Mine. This mine, supposedly located in the Superstition Mountains in Arizona, is famous for the amount of gold it is believed to contain. According to legend, Jacob Waltz, known as the "Dutchman", discovered the mine in the 19th century but never revealed its location. Since then, thousands of people have searched for the mine, but to no avail. Some have lost their lives in the attempt, and others claim to have found traces of the gold, although they have never been able to prove it.
