This Cowboy is better known by his nickname but if you know his real name I'll accept that as well! Anyways, this cowboy was born in 1846 in Le Claire, Iowa. He was an American soldier, bison hunter, and a showman. The nickname he is best known by was given by his impressive hunting skills as he was hired to supply meat for railroad workers and the animal he has hunted he managed to kill 4,282 in just 18 months alone. This cowboy was against slavery and many were unhappy with his antislavery speech to which one man stabbed him with a knife and he became ill, due to respiratory infection from the complications of the stabbing as well as having kidney disease unfortunately led to his death in April 1857.
