Wild West Art #4 : Music
Keep yourself informed about the Wild West with our blog !
Hello dear partner! Welcome to this new edition of Wild West Art, in which we're going to talk about the 4th art form... music!

Forgive me for being late this week. Just yesterday, I met by chance a growing group... Anonymous Country! What, you don't know them? It's normal, I invented it. And you know what else we can invent? A song that's a hit!
What are the ingredients to create a sound that will span generations, extend to borders and appeal to all ears? That's what we're going to see now, on the good advice of our anonymous friends!

Eureka:
With your eyes lost in the desert, you're suddenly taken with a brilliant inspiration. Without delay, you put your emotions on paper, already scribbling some notes and words. The idea was born, it remains to create all the music that goes with it.

An air of déjà vu:
Are you looking for a solid musical structure? Don't go too far, the people of the Wild West will connect much more if you offer them familiar reference points. For example, a call-answer or a narrative ballad would do just fine, although the verse-chorus-verse format is quite valid.

There is no music without a musician:
Forget about acapella, leave it for your future fans when they’ll hum your hits over the summer. I would rather advise you to recruit musicians, and not just any one! Don't hire a violinist if you don't plan to write sad songs. Similarly, don't forget the harmonica for songs about travel and adventure.
Although it's obvious, the guitar or the banjo still has its place in the background. And it is these instruments that will give the three main chords of your masterpiece! Do you want some innovation or are your purse full enough? Why not contact a pianist? Beware of travel though, it's a major disadvantage.

No one else can speak the words on your lips:
(Thanks Natasha for this lovely song) That being said, I don't quite agree. Calling yourself a poet does not make you one. Sometimes you have ideas, a few sentences, things to tell - but we're not going to lie to each other, once laid on paper it sounds wobbly. Fortunately, every problem has its solution: lyricists are in vogue right now ;)

Final Destination:
Let's see, emotions, lyrics, instruments, a slamming tune. Wait, is that the sound of July’s next anthem??
Hope I can sing your songs soon, around a campfire or at the Saloon!

I really hope you enjoyed this article, and that now you're running to write a new song for us to dance this summer ! 😉

While we are at it, next time, we will dive into the five (already :o) art form: dance!

Stay connected!
