Greetings everyone!Throughout the ages and many years of the good ol wild west cowboys and cowgirls alike have said plenty of things during their time, whether it was wild or them just being them and being their straight up selves.
Let’s take a walk through the past and see the top quotes that have been gathered as we dive into some good ol’ cowboy quotes!
Billy the kid who was an american outlaw and a well known gunslinger once wrote a letter to Governor Lewis Wallace who during the time was a Governor for New Mexico Territory and a snippet of said letter he wrote, “I’m not afraid to die like a man fighting, but I would not like to be killed like a dog unarmed.” This comes from as during the time he was seeking amnesty for his own offences.
A good western actor John Wayne who was also known by his nickname “Duke” has plenty of intriguing cowboy quotes, but one that stuck out will be this one, “Courage is being scared to death and saddling up anyway!” This speaks to plenty of us in the Wild West, we never know how things will be but we rely on courage and ourselves to get ready and saddle up for anything that may come our way!
We all know our well spirited Calamity Jane a frontierswoman, a sharpshooter and even a storyteller has plenty of sayings including quotes that can be felt to the core, one of them that was crossed upon is “Leave me alone and let me go to hell by my own route.” Even a woman with such fury can have words like a cowboy especially cowboy quotes.
Bat Masterson who was a U.S. Army scout, a lawman, professional gambler, and a journalist during his years once said, “There are many in this old world of ours who hold that things break about even for all of us. I have observed, for example, that we all get the same amount of ice. The rich get it in the summertime, and the poor get it in the winter.” You can tell he has found and been wise throughout his years!
Another great cowboy quote from the most rugged guy around, Wild Bill Hickok who was a folk hero among the American old west was known for being a frontier soldier, scout, lawmen, cattle rustler and so much more has a good quote to share for all as well, “Perhaps I may yet die with my boots on.” Word has it, he did indeed die with his boots on.

Sheriff Application
Requirements:
- be at least 18 years old
- have ideas, motivation, and time to implement new ideas
- have the time to implement new functions, even spontaneously
- know the rules of sites in general
- be able to keep up with new rules, changes and be able to adapt
- have the time to post weekly content and cover your team if they are absent
- have the time and knowledge to answer your team’s questions or concerns
- be able to lead, motivate and organize your team in an efficient way
- be able to keep your club up to date
- be knowledgeable of the fandom you will be working with
- be open-minded and able to deal with immense pressure, stress and conflict
- be patient and balanced enough to deal with mentioned conflicts and stress
- be fair and not favor certain people over others
- speak English fluently for English sites, be able to communicate if the site is not English
