A Crafty Interview
Greetings everyone!
Hey everyone, today I'm your very own Yuan Moriyama interviewing our very own Allegra Thoreau. Hope you enjoy it and don't forget to give Allegra a super compliment when you see her, into the interview we go!
Allegra was sitting in the saloon at the back corner that was way darker than the rest of the busy room. She had sawdust on the sleeve of her faded red sweater; self knitted. She sipped a mix of tea and whiskey with a prune added for the umami. There was a block of cheese wrapped in a plain white cloth, hidden in her pocket. She occasionally took it out all sneakylike to take a bite, as she eyed the interviewer.
Yuna looked at Allegra and held her notebook in her hand with her pencil and began the interview.
"So Miss Thoreau, explain what you do for your job(s) and your everyday life if you wish to as well!" Yuna asked, having her notebook ready to start writing.
Allegra thought for a moment and replied, "Well, I will help when I can with repairs and construction. Doing all sorts of things in my classes and my free time. That way, I teach my students and help fund the materials, tools, etc."
Yuna wrote down the answers. She answered, "I understand, interesting," Yuna said, then she asked the next question.
"Any fun facts you'd like to share about your job or yourself in general?" Allegra looked down and then looked at Yuna and said, "I throw hammers at people sometimes. Rusty ones... Less costly to replace. Getting perfect with my throwing aim, too." Yuna looked at her a little shocked and then said, "Oh... OK. Sounds like a fun hobby." She didn't really know what to say. So she wrote down what Allegra said and then asked, "What is your favorite/the least favorite part of your job?"
Allegra bit her tongue, she had the immunity, and said, "Deadline, I'm ancient now and can't get as much done now. I might retire soon, I think. Favorite part of the job? I get to boss everyone in the classroom like it's the continental army." Yuna smiled and laughed a little. "I understand you completely," Yuna said, taking a sip of her margarita and then writing in the notebook and asking for "anything else you'd like to add that would help them learn about you/your job."
"Pretty much covers it. Rest you'll have to find out in the lessons." Allegra answered without even having to think about what she was going to answer. "Then maybe I'll show up to class one day and help out." Yuan answered and wrote down what Allegra answered. "Then I only have one question left." Yuna said and then asked, "How do you see yourself in 5 years from now?" She waited patiently and ready for Allegra to answer. Allegra thought for a moment and said, "Hopefully the same as now, with less work to do. Maybe get more eccentric.... yeah. Definitely more eccentric." Yuan smiled and said, "That sounds like a good idea. Thanks for letting me interview you today, Allegra Thoreau," Yuna said, standing up and shaking Allegra's hand. Yuan paid for the margarita and left.
And this was the interview. I hope you all liked it. This interview was written by both Yuan Moriyama and Allegra Thoreau. Thank you all. See you next time.
